Valley Public and Kantipur advanced to the senior girls’ section final here at the eighth Gyan Niketan Inter-school Basketball Tournament on Wednesday.

Sujata Rai scored seven as Valley Public saw off Trungram International Academy (TIA) 21-11 while Roshin Gurung netted 11 in Kantipur’s 33-17 win over defending champions Teresa.

Meanwhile, TIA and Unique made it to the final of the senior boys’ section. TIA beat hosts Gyan Niketan 38-32 and Unique defeated defending champions Wilson Academy 72-52. Puspasadan also made it to the junior boys’ section final with a 38-32 win over NOBS. Gyan Niketan defeated Ullens 49-25 and will meet Zenith for a place in final.
