KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Weightlifting Association is organising the Inter-club National Weightlifting Tournament on April 11-12.

The tournament will be a part of talent hunt, informed Association President Bijendra Bikram Shahi.

“The prime target of the event is to attract youth towards power game and produce talented lifters and include them in the national team,” said Shahi.

The best lifter and strongest player in men’s category, rising player in junior section and record breaking  lifters will be awarded with cash, informed Shahi.

Ashok Fitness Equipment Pvt Ltd and Spectrum Merchandise Pvt Ltd are the sponsors of the tournament.
