White House join CCRC in final
Kathmandu, January 1:
Himalayan White House International College will take on defending champions CCRC in the final after they beat FW Taylor by 76 runs in the semi-final of the Dr Thakur Nath Pant Memorial Inter-college Cricket Tournament here today.
Electing to bat first, White House were bowled out for 173 runs in 29.4 overs. Sharad Vesawkar scored 54 while Prem Chaudhary fell one run short of a half century. Vesawkar’s 44-ball innings featured four fours and two sixes while Chaudhary’s 38-ball knock included nine fours. Raju Basnyat took 5-30 for FW Taylor while Ayush Shrestha claimed two.
In reply, FW Taylor were packed for 97 runs in 22.4 overs. Puspa Thapa scored with 25 runs while Manoj Katuwal made 18. Man of the match Paras Khadka claimed 4-11 for White House. Angel Acharya bagged two while Dipendra Chaudhary and Sharad Vesawkar took one wicket each. The final is scheduled for Wednesday.
