KATHMANDU: Shree Dewa and Valley Public advanced to the senior girls’ section quarter-finals of the 15th Wilson Hoops Inter-school Basketball Tournament here on Thursday. Shree Dewa thumped Himalayan 22-12 riding on eight points from Jyoti Gurung, while Laxmi Chaudhary’s 11 points helped Valley Public rout Mount Kailash 35-7.

In boys’ section, HIMS, South Point and Buddha Academy advanced to the quarter-finals. HIMS defeated Sainik Awasiya Mahavidhyalaya 55-33, while South Point thrashed GEMS 74-37 and Buddha beat KISK 35-26.
