Kathmandu, June 16:

Wilson Academy and Learning Realm International (LRI) have been selected on Monday for the first Xavier International Inter-school Under-17 Basketball Championship from Kathmandu.

In the final of the selection tournament organized by the Nepal Basketball Association (NeBA), Wilson defeated LRI 77-52 with Nawaraj Dahal netting 29 points for the winning team. Despite the result, both the finalists from Kathmandu were qualified for the main event.

Nitin Memorial was also selected for the main event from South Zone after beating Gyanodaya 72-64. Jeevan Bhattarai scored 23 for Nitin.

In Rupandehi, Oxford beat New Horizon 42-42 with Nikhil Tulachan contributing 14 points for the winners. Also, Pinewood crushed Elite 63-36 in another match. Shambhu Pun netted 36 points for Pinewood.
