KATHMANDU: Golden Gate International College defeated Kirtipur Basketball Team 66-56 in the Kwik’s Basketball League on Thursday.

Golden Gate took first three periods 13-9, 21-20 and 21-13 before Kirtipur claimed the fourth 14-11. Golden Gate’s Rajiv Joshi netted 20 points and Anish Shahi Thakuri contributed 16 points.

Kirtipur’s Diveshwor Sah and Samir Niroula netted 12 points each. With the victory, Golden Gate accumulated 15 points from nine matches and are second in the standing.

Tribhuvan Army Club are leading the table with 21 points. — HNS
