Yet another exciting season beckons

Kathmandu, June 21:

Real Madrid eventually won the Spanish League after a gap of three years and thus ended an exciting season for Football among the European Clubs.

Inter Milan claimed the top spot in Italy and Manchester United became the proud winner in England. But there is no time for even the top most team to sit and relax. As these clubs are familiar with the fact that the competition gets tougher with each passing season.

That is why all the teams have begun their preparation for the next season.

Almost all the clubs are looking around for players to balance their team and at the some moment either sell or loan some of their not-so-good ones. Arsenal striker Thierry Henry’s link with Barcelona was the hot issue.

Champions League finalists Liverpool are planning a £5-million bid for Pompey midfielder Matthew Taylor, but the Anfield outfit will face stiff competition from rivals Spurs, Fulham and Aston Villa. Liverpool are also reportedly chasing French winger Florent Malouda.

A lot is happening in Spain and Real Madrid too. David Beckham is moving to America, while Roberto Carlos joined a Turkish side and the club is planning to spend a fortune to bring in more stars like Kaka.
