Yeti Airlines win friendly
Lalitpur, November 14:
Yeti Airlines Kathmandu XI defeated Jaya Shree Cricket Club of Pune by eight wickets in their friendly match at the Pulchowk Engineering Ground on Friday.
Batting first, the Indian team scored 141-9 in their allotted 30 overs, while the local team overcame the target losing two wickets in 27.1 overs. Yeti Airlines were penalised one over for their slow over-rate.
Rahul Milke top-scored for the visitors with an unbeaten 46 off just 32 balls hitting four boundaries and three sixes. Opener Aakash Dangmali scored 17, while Datta Mitbhaukar scored run-a-ball 14. Pankaj Sharma remained unbeaten on 13 and Ram Das Jagtap made 11.
For Yeti Airlines, skipper Paras Khadka, Rom Shrestha and Sudeep Sharma took two wickets each, while Rupesh Shrivastav, Sharad Vesawkar and Prasanna Shakya claimed one apiece.
In reply, Subash Khakurel scored a fine half century as the local team reached 143/2 with 17 balls remaining. Khakurel hit seven fours in his 76-ball 52.
Sharad Vesawkar hit four fours and a six in his unbeaten 49-ball 36, while opener Dipendra Chaudhary scored 34 off 32 balls that included five boundaries. Skipper Khadka remained unbeaten on eight.
Datta Mitbhaukar and Rahul Malke took one wickets each for the Indian team. Malke of the Indian team and Rom Shrestha of Yeti Airlines Kathmandu XI were jointly declared the man of the match.
