Mahottari border points in smooth operation

MAHOTTARI:  The India-bordering checkpoints in Mahottari district, which were completely halted for the past five months, have come into operation.

The main entry points of the district – Bhittamod and Matihani – have resumed after agitating United Democratic  Madhesi Front (UDMF) cadres stopped enforcing sit-ins to block the border-based supply.

The border points now have seen no presence of agitators with the outrage of UDMF cadres to their leaders. The agitators have expressed their anger and aggression to their leaders for allegedly receiving millions of rupees to allow the entrance of six trucks with goods via Bhittamod border point on Saturday night.

With this, the supply of goods via Indian border points has been eased. The UDMF cadres stopped blocking supply operations on checkpoints stating that the Front leaders played truant on the sentiments of Madhesi people, Madhes movement and agitators.

Now dozens of goods-laden trucks and tankers are entering Nepal via the points with easy operation of borders.
