Three rhinos, one tiger, and one elephant died in Chitwan National Park last month (mid-February to mid- March). Besides, 15 spotted deer, two Himalayan ghorals, one wild boar, and one barking deer died during mid-February to mid-March. During the same period, Parsa National Park lost two wild boars, while one spotted deer died in Shuklaphanta.
One toddy cat, one Himalayan ghoral, and one white monkey died in Langtang, and Shivapuri Nagarjun area witnessed the death of an animal of cat species. One languor, and two wild boars were found dead in BNP and five spotted deer in Banke National Park, two wild boars, two sour-horned antelopes, two monkeys, two cats, one barking deer and one leopard were killed after being hit by vehicles and attacked by wild dogs, the NA said.
Makalu Barun National Park reported the death of one deer, Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve witnessed the death of one wild buffalo and two deer in the same period.
