11 killed in China landslide

BEIJING: Eleven persons were killed and two injured on Friday when a landslide triggered by a rainstorm buried a three-storey house in east China, state media reported. Rescuers pulled two people alive from the debris early Friday following the landslide which hit Lin'an, near the city of Hangzhou after midnight.Two village officials inspecting flood control work in the suburbs of Hangzhou were missing after their car fell into swollen waters when a highway caved in.
