69 held in Europe mob raids
MADDRID: A Spanish official said police have arrested 69 people across Europe in raids targeting Georgian mafia members.
The official said 24 people were arrested on Monday in Spain, mainly in the eastern Catalonia and Valencia regions. The National Police official said she has no other details. Spain’s Cadena Ser radio said the detainees are suspected of drug- and weapons-trafficking, bribery and money laundering.
