BDR for ‘better’ ties with India

Akhaura (Tripura), May 4:

The chief of Bangladesh’s border guards today stressed the need for better ties with India and hoped that the two countries would work to maintain their age-old friendly relations.

“Both India and Bangladesh are good friendly neighbours and we shall remain friends in the future as well,” Lt. Gen. Jehangir Alam Choudhury, director general of the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR), told journalists here. Choudhury today visited India’s Akhaura border post in Tripura.
