A teenage girl studying in Sindhu Preliminary School of Byas Municipality, Tanahun, who had gone missing for the past three days, was found and handed over to her family today.

Fourteen-year-old Sabina Khatun, an intellectually disabled child from Bhanu Municipality, who was studying in a special class at the school in Sange Sera of Byas Municipality, had gone missing from Thursday morning.

According to the school, the girl was found at a resting place on the way to Dhakaltar of Anbukhaireni Rural Municipality this afternoon.

Ever since she disappeared all of a sudden, her teachers and guardians had been constantly searching for her. They had also informed the police.

After being found at the resting place today, locals reported her to Area Police Office, Anbukhaireni.

Police, in the presence of her guardians and teachers, handed her over to her mother.

"We could find her as we had been constantly searching for her ever since she went missing," said teacher Sitadevi Kunwar, while Principal Tara Bahadur Thapa said the school and guardians didn't leave any stone unturned in searching for her.
