SAWAI: A Pakistani military commander on Tuesday said a new offensive had killed up to 80 militants in the northern extremity of the lawless tribal belt.

The Frontier Corps stepped up an offensive targeting Taliban havens in Bajaur district. “Eighty militants have been killed so far,” Colonel Rana Munnawar told reporters at a briefing in Sawai.
