China mishaps kill 27
BEIJING: At least 27 people were killed in two bus mishaps in China on Saturday and Sunday. Seventeen people were killed when a bus carrying 55 people flipped over and fell into a valley
in Enshi, a city in central China’s Hubei province, on Saturday, the official Xinhua News Agency
said. On Sunday, 10 people including a child were killed when a farm vehicle fell off a roadside cliff in Chongqing. — AP

KABUL: More than 20 suspected Taliban insurgents — including five foreigners — were killed in recent clashes with Afghan and US-led coalition forces in Afghanistan, a defence ministry spokesman Gen Mohammed Zaher Azimi said on Sunday.
