KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 16

North Korea has been blamed of hacking the COVID-19 vaccine making pharmaceutical company--Pfizer to stalk for information on the infection and its treatment.

The National Intelligence Service, which is South Korea's intelligence agency, revealed the information amid a close-door briefing to a parliamentary intelligence committee.

​​​​​​The lawmakers apparently stated that Pfizer technology got hacked in an attempt to scout relevant information on treatment of the Covid-19 by North Korean hackers, according to Bloomberg.

North Korea has been boasting of escaping the pandemic with no cases of the infection being recorded nation-wide, which has drawn the nation much flak also putting the credibility of the official statement into questioning.

There has been no reaction from Pyongyang regarding the issue, as yet.
