Dozens of heavily armed soldiers raided an Islamic boarding school in southern Thailand, and

police ordered journalists away under a new law that gives the prime minister the power to censor news and detain suspects without charge. “Media are not allowed to take pictures or cover the story on military operations,” said the army officer commanding the raid.
