KATHMANDU, JANUARY 30

The United Arab Emirates has adopted law amendments for launching a new scheme to obtaining UAE citizenship, on Saturday.

Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum took to twitter to confirm of the new regulations in place. "We adopted law amendments that allow granting the UAE citizenship to investors, specialized talents and professionals including scientists, doctors, engineers, artists, authors and their families. The new directives aim to attract talents that contribute to our development journey."

The UAE PM further stated that the cabinet, local Emiri courts & executive councils will nominate those eligible for the citizenship under clear criteria set for each category. "The law allows receivers of the UAE passport to keep their existing citizenship."

UAE, one the fastest growing economies of the world with the aforementioned laws in place for attaining a citizenship, is expected to allure people globally.
