LOS ANGELES: American rapper DMX was taken into police custody “for several issues outstanding” including $400,000 in unpaid child support. The 44-year-old hip-hop star, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was taken into jail while he was on his way to Radio City Music Hall in New York, reported Ace Showbiz.

A warrant was also reportedly issued for bail jumping, being an aggravated unlicensed motor vehicle operator, and another criminal complaint.

DMX was supposed to perform at the Master of Ceremony concert which featured music acts like Shabba Ranks, Rakim and Mase. It went on as scheduled without the Party Up (Up in Here) hitmaker.

DMX has a long history of trouble with the law. His past arrests ranged from animal cruelty, reckless driving, drug possession, to probation violations.
