KATHMANDU: Popular Nepali folk-rock band Nepathya on Saturday gave a debut Germany performance at the Gruespan in Hamburg.
An organisation of Nepali diaspora, Tamu Samaj Hamburg, had organised the event, which was a combination of Nepathya’s classic hits and recent releases.

“We have monsoon in Nepal (now). Monsoon is beautiful till a limit as it irrigates our farms," the brand's front man Amrit Gurung, said, addressing the crowd, "But when it comes in excess, it becomes a disaster. Currently, many villages in Nepal are suffering from flood and landslides."
Gurung also urged the diaspora community to extend support to Nepal flood and landslide victims.
Gurung was accompanied by Dhurba on drums, Suraj on keyboards, Subin on bass, Niraj on guitars and Shanti on madal, according to a press statement issued by Nepalaya.
The band now would move to Copenhagen of Denmark for their debut show in this Scandinavian nation scheduled for August 2, the statement informed.
