Another agreement made to secure achievements so far: Bhattarai

KATHMANDU: UCPN-Maoist leader Baburam Bhattarai has wrote on his Facebook that his party has made another agreement and paved the way for the promulgation of new constitution in order to securing the achievements made so far.

Hinting that the major parties made another deal (to opt for joint amendment proposal on Revised Draft of new constitution , he wrote so on the social networking site after the meeting of four major parties and the Maoist Parliamentary Party meeting.

Quoting a part of dictum from the Chanakya Neeti, which observes that the wise give up the half when a situation arrives to lose everything, Bhattarai said the UCPN-Maoist has been very flexible and made another agreement to pave the way for delivery of constitution amid the threat of losing achievements of revolutionary movements and promulgation of constitution from the Constituent Assembly.

"At least achievements of like republic, federalism, secularism and inclusive proportional democracy of our movements have been secured!," he wrote in Nepali, "Support from all is expected!"
