Bolivian, Thai women held with 3.5 kg cocaine in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Nepal Police arrested two foreigners, both of them women, on charge of their involvement in drugs smuggling and seized 3.5 kg cocaine from their possession in Kathmandu.

One of them is a Bolivian national, named Rossy Gueddy, who smuggled in the cache of narcotics to the Nepali capital, while the other is Thai woman, Waranya Kaewpikul,  who apparently came to collect the consignment.

It is believed that international cocaine smuggling racket had deployed the duo as carriers.

The contraband is worth millions of rupees in international drug market.

It has been learned that Nepal Police's Narcotics Control Bureau arrested them yesterday evening.

They are being paraded at 2 pm.

NCB had arrested three foreigners and a Nepali national in possession of 2.683 kg cocaine, and  one Chinese youth in possession of 3.178 kg cocaine from Kathmandu in May.
