Nepali Congress CWC meeting postponed

KATHMANDU: The Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of Nepali Congress that was scheduled to take place today has been postponed for Sunday.

According to the party office, the meeting was postponed after the CWC members, who were out of valley, could not return to Kathmandu today due to disruption at Tribhuvan International Airport.

The CWC meeting began since March 23. The last meeting was scheduled for April 1, but had been postponed to mourn the death of NC CWC member Khum Bahadur Khadka who passed away on March 30.

The meeting has been taking place to review the party's humiliating defeat in provincial and parliamentary election and chart a course for the party's revival.

In today's meeting, the CWC is also likely to nominate three new members to the committee.
