Nepali Congress to hold pending polls by June 3rd week
KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress party said it would hold elections of its district and constituency committees, which had not been held during the party's 13th national general convention around three months ago, by the third week of June.
A meeting of the party's Central Election Committee made the decision to this effect.
According to the Committee, elections are yet to be held in seven district committees - Siraha, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sindhupalchok, Parsa, Bajhang and Kanchanpur - and a constituency committee in Dhanusha-5.
Meanwhile, the Committee also decided to instruct other local committees except the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Committee, if they are yet to hold the elections, to complete the polling process in coordination with the party's sister and well-wishing organisations locally.
