Police get rescue kits

KATHMANDU: Safe Civil Society, Nepal, on Saturday handed over disaster management and rescue kits worth Rs 800,000 to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Baneshwor, amid a function organised in the capital. Metropolitan Police Commissioner AIGP Bigyan Raj Sharma received the rescue kits on behalf of the MPC and described it as a good example to public-police partnership to make society a safer place to live in. The programme was presided over by Surya Prasad Koirala, chairperson of the Society.
