Action sought against those involved in movements

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML has issued a special directive to all its lower committees to take action against party cadres who take part in movements. “If any member of the party’s committees or sister organisations is involved in the anarchy first try to convince the person not to participate, but if the directive is disobeyed action must be taken and the central office must be informed,” the circular signed by General Secretary Ishwor Pokhrel states. The party’s general secretary has sent an 11-point circular to all lower committees across the nation urging them not to be involved in the ongoing movements. The circular also states that UML leaders and cadres should try to convince those involved in the movement that their demands would be included in the constitution by the time the draft gets final shape and if not the federal commission would include their grievances even after promulgation of the statute.
