Another memorandum to prime minister
Rajbiraj, October 8
Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal Saptari today submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli through Saptari Chief District Officer citing failure of the government to address their demand of statute amendment.
A rally held under the leadership of RJP-N Coordinator Ramprit Yadav from the local Shiv Temple had made a round of the marketplace before the party submitted the memorandum to the prime minister through CDO Surendra Poudel.
The memorandum comprises a charter of demands including statute amendment, swearing-in of the elected Resham Chaudhary of the House of Representatives, withdrawal of cases registered against people arrested during the Tarai agitation.
The party has warned it will withdraw support to the government and launch agitation from both the Parliament and the street if their demands are not met.
RJP-N Saptari Coordinator Yadav said his party had submitted the memorandum to press the government to implement the agreement reached with his party in the past.
