BIRATNAGAR: Police personnel have escorted around 600 vehicles to their respective destinations.

According to the District Police Office, Morang, security personnel of Sunsari were given the responsibility to take the 293 vehicles including 79 that were stranded at the Biratnagar-based Rani Customs to their destinations from Morang district.

Of them, 14 were diesel carrying vehicles, 11 petrol carrying vehicles, two gas bullets and others were goods-loaded vehicles, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pramod Kharel.

Similarly, Sunsari police escorted 297 passenger buses to their respective destinations.
