Alital health post located at Alital VDC of Dadeldhura has written to the families of two dozen kids, who had missed the vaccination against measles earlier, and asked them to visit the health post to immunise their wards.

“As your kids missed the vaccination against measles earlier, please visit the health facility at the earliest and get them immunised,” reads the letter.

Senior Assistant Health Worker at the health post Dhan Bahadur Chhetri said, “The kids usually miss their vaccination because their parents forget the dates.

As we have records of all the children, we wrote to those who missed the vaccination earlier. If they don’t come to the health facility, we will deploy ANMs to visit their houses,” said Chhetri.

He also claimed that Alital was the first health facility in the district to write letters requesting the locals to get their kids immunised.
