GAIGHAT: Dal Bahadur Rai, 48, of Basbote VDC-7 in Udayapur district has been charged of murdering his 18-year-old son Gambhirraj Rai by attacking with a knife on Saturday evening.

Local teacher Kumbharaj Rai said that the father and son were engaged in a dispute in the afternoon while planting paddy seedlings in the farm.

Another teacher of Basbote Higher Secondary School Shivaram Rai said Gambhirraj was stabbed to death on the spot.
