KATHMANDU: Patan-Pancheshwar road is adversely affected after a portion of the road was caved in, triggered by incessant rain.

Vehicles are on a halt since Saturday evening after the road sunk at Lorkha, Patan Municipality-6.

Baitadi Police said efforts are on to repair the road and resume services in coordination with the Division Road Office Baitadi.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dilli Narayan Pandeya, said it might take some time to repair the road and open it for traffic since a large section of the road has sunk.

Meanwhile, scores of passengers travelling to Tallo Sworad for Dashain are stranded.
