Indian gas bullet plunges into Trishuli River, driver rescued

CHITWAN: An Indian gas bullet has plunged into Trishuli River at Kerabasi along Narayangadh--Muglin road section, in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29, on Sunday, police said.

The truck driver Raju Oli, who has sustained injuries, has been rescued.

According to Chitwan District Police Office, the truck (HR 3HR 9770) heading to Kathmandu from India, lost control before skidding off the road some 150 metres down and plunged into the Trishuli River.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Prabhu Prasad Dhakal at the District Police Office said, "The driver is undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital."

Police are trying to pull out the drowned bullet from the river, DSP Dhakal added.

Meanwhile, an investigation into the incident is underway.
