National unity need of hour, says Dahal

DAMAULI: UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday stressed that national unity was a need of the current time.

Speaking with government officers in Damauli of Tanahun distict,  Dahal claimed that the national unity was needed to reconstruct infrastructure of the country flattened by the 2015 earthquake and to implement the Constitution.

All the major parties should unite together to move ahead in this critical situation, suggested the UCPN-Maoist Chairman.

Dahal further claimed that the visits of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to India and China had been helpful to enhance the national economic growth that had been down by the earthquake and five-month-long blockade imposed by the southern neighbour.

The parties were working hard to maintain peace, security and development in the country as wished by the people, informed Dahal.

Meanwhile, speaking at a press conference organised by the Revolutionary Jornalists Association in Tanahun today, Dahal again stressed to maintain national unity for the development of country.

Dahal is in the district to give training to cadres of the UCPN-Maosit.
