RAUTAHAT: Two persons, including a motorcyclist, were found dead at Gadhimai, on Tuesday morning, apparently in an apparent hit-and-run accident along the Pathlaiya-Nijgadh road section of the East-West Highway last night.

One of the deceased has been identified as motorcyclist Budhhi Adhikari (30) of Kavre, police said. The other person is said to be a mentally challenged local man, whose identity was not known.

Based on the position of the two bodies, police suspected that both of them were hit by another vehicle.

DSP Manoj Yadav of the Chandranigahapur-based Area Police Office informed that the bodies were sent to a hospital in Bara for autopsy.
