ACC U-19 Premier: Nepal thrash Saudi Arabia by 9 wickets

KATHMANDU: Nepal beat Saudi Arabia by nine wickets in the ACC U-19 Premier League match played at Kelab Aman in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia on Thursday.

Batting first after winning the toss, Saudi Arabia were bowled out for 55 runs in 33.2 overs.

Faisal Khan top scored for Saudi Arabia with 19 runs of 14 balls while Zain made 11 runs off four balls.

Sushil Kandel took four wickets for Nepal, Prem Tamang and Sunil Dhamala pocketed 2 wickets each.

In reply, Nepal met the target of 56 runs in nine overs loosing only one wicket.

Opener Sunil Dhamala remained unbeaten on 34 runs off 20 balls; Raju Rijal added 14 runs of 20 balls.

With the win, Nepal finished in the second position with eight points, while Afghanistan lifted the trophy of the tournament finishing on the top of the table with 10 points. Host Malaysia finished in the third position. All three teams qualified for the ACC U-19 Asia Cup.
