KATHMANDU: Rajan Lama defeated Sher Bahadur Lama 3-0 to advance to the third round of the Nepal Open Snooker Tournament here on Friday.

Biren Shakya beat Kishan Pun 3-1, Deepjal Dhungana saw off Sampurna 3-1, Bishal Thakur defeated Nirman Bogati 3-2 and Mahendra Nepal beat Deepen Shahi 3-1 to sail into the third round.

Anish Maharjan, Phurba Sherpa, Sujan Jwarchan, Prabin Shakya, Raj Kapali, Sanjay Mulmi and Kritesh Gyawali also won their matches.
