Kathmandu, March 21

Namuna Youth Active Group is organising the second Open Men’s National Volleyball Tournament in Melamchi, Sindhupalchowk from April 4-7.

Around 15 teams will take part in the league-com-knockout tournament, informed the organisers at a press meet today.

Top three teams will get Rs 152,202, Rs 82,202 and Rs 52,202 respectively, while the best player will earn Rs 7,000.

Hyolmo-Sindhu-Melamchi Valley Social Uplift Programme Implementation Committee (HSMVSUPIC), the title sponsor of the tournament, will provide the organisers with Rs 800,000.

HSMVSUPIC President Upendra Tamang and Namuna Youth President Shir Bahadur Tamang exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the programme.

Melamchi Municipality is the co-sponsor of the tournament and Mayor Dumber Bahadur Acharya handed over cheque of Rs 500,000 to Namuna Youth President Lama.
