Nepal drubbed 4-1 by Malaysia in a friendly match

KATHMANDU: Nepal's national women's football team suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat to Malaysia's women team in a friendly match played at Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia on Wednesday.

Mid-fielder Shereilynn Ellypius brace helped Malaysia to comprehensively beat the Nepali side in a one-sided affair.

Ellypius scored early on either side of the halves. She scored on 3rd and 54th minute of the game.

Malaysian midfielder Nurathirah Mamat also latched onto a through ball to notch home a goal from close range on 42 minutes. Malaysia led the first half 2-0.

After the break Nepali side was caught napping as Ellypius scored her second goal and Malaysia's third.
