MADRID: Real Madrid says Croatia midfielder Luka Modric has a left-knee injury and will miss Sunday's Spanish league match against Eibar.

Madrid hosts Eibar after three straight draws across all competitions.

Modric played a full match on Tuesday when European champion Madrid drew 2-2 at Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

Modric's Croatia travels for its next two World Cup qualifiers. It plays Kosovo on Thursday, and Finland three days later.
