Biratnagar, April 7

Ruslan Three Star Club defeated CMG Club Sankata 4-0 and advanced to the final of the Birat Gold Cup Football Tournament at the Shahid Maidan today.

Ajayi Martins scored a brace, while Buddha Chemjong and Bimal Gharti Magar added one each for Three Star. The Lalitpur-based team will play the final match against fellow A division outfit, Tribhuvan Army Club on Monday.

Martins opened the scoring in the 43rd minute and Chemjong doubled the advantage in the 54th minute.

Martins scored his second and team’s third goal in the 76th minute before Magar made it 4-0 three minutes later.

The winners and runners-up of the tournament will earn Rs 1.37 million and Rs 500,000 respectively.
