Kathmandu District Administration Office (DAO) on Tuesday issued a 13-point directive to control the spread of coronavirus infection in the district.

The notice reinforces the guidelines issued by the Council of Ministers on Monday.

DAO has urged the people to follow the cabinet's decisions including not allowing gatherings over 25 people in public places, not allowing passengers sans masks to board public vehicles, not to let vehicles ply carrying passengers beyond their seat limits, mandatory use of masks in public places, operating hotels and restaurants from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, among other points.

The DAO has also warned that anyone not following the notice or obstruct the implementation of the notice will be charged according to the Infectious Disease Act, 2020 (1964).
