Students take to streets protesting girl's murder

School students and youths have been staging demonstration protesting the murder of Krishala Chaudhary, 16, of Mohanpur of Triyuga Municipality, on a daily basis in Udayapur.

School students and youths have been staging demonstration protesting the murder of Krishala Chaudhary, 16, of Mohanpur of Triyuga Municipality, on a daily basis in Udayapur.

Chaudhary had gone missing on July 28 and her body was found in Rajdevi Community Forest seven days later. The body was found in a ditch near Ratmate khola.

Police said that preliminary investigation had led to the suspicion that Chaudhary might have been gang-raped and subsequently murdered and buried in a ditch.

School students and youths have been staging protest demanding fair probe into the incident.

The body was taken to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, for post-mortem ten days ago. The post-mortem report is yet to come. Police have nabbed some youths suspecting their involvement in the crime.

Deceased Chaudhary was a tenth grader at Janata Secondary School.
