KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 26
The weather across Nepal is expected to remain generally cloudy, with light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning likely in various regions of all provinces, today, according to the Meteorological Forecast Division.
There is a higher chance of heavy rainfall in one or two locations of Koshi, Madesh, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces. Additionally, Koshi, Madesh, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas.
As for tonight, the cloudy weather will persist throughout the country. Light to moderate rain, along with thunder and lightning, is forecasted for parts of Koshi, Madesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, with the likelihood of rain extending to a few areas in the other provinces. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in certain places within Koshi, Madesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces.
The current meteorological analysis indicates that the monsoon low-pressure line is positioned south of its average location, and the entire country remains under the influence of monsoon winds. Furthermore, the weather is being influenced by a low-pressure system developing over the Bay of Bengal, which is contributing to the rain activity in Nepal.
According to the recent observations by the MFD at 8:45 am today, Dipayal recorded the highest rainfall at 35.8 mm in the last 24 hours, with a maximum temperature of 33.4°C and a minimum of 22.7°C.
