KATHMANDU, JANUARY

The price of gold in the domestic market saw a significant surge of Rs 2,300 per tola on Friday.

Gold prices have been fluctuating in recent days. Last week, the price had dropped to Rs 159,200 per tola before gradually rising to Rs 160,600. However, the rise or decline during that period was not as significant as Friday's surge.

According to the Nepal Federation of Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of fine gold has jumped to Rs 162,800 per tola, up from Rs 160,500 per tola on Thursday.

Similarly, silver prices also surged by Rs 30 per tola on Friday. Silver, which was being traded at Rs 1,885 per tola on Thursday, has now reached Rs 1,915 per tola.
