ILAM: A Monitoring and Evaluation Committee has been formed here in order to collect details of the damaged incurred by monsoon rains in the district. The committee comprises representatives from the road division, district technical office, Ilam municipality and the drinking water and sanitation division. The District Natural Disaster Rescue Committee had formed the Committee on Friday. The Committee will present its report within three days. Relief support will be distributed after the Committee presents its report, said the Disaster Committee Chair Bishnu Bahadur Karki. Preliminary assessment says that 98 houses were damaged while 80 houses were partially damaged with more than a dozen agriculture roads obstructed by landslides triggered by the incessant rainfall.
