Major parties decide to give space to people’s genuine suggestions

KATHMANDU: The four major political forces have concluded that space should be given to people's genuine and meaningful suggestions regarding important issues like delineation of federal states. Today's meeting of the four major political parties held at the Constituent Assembly Building at New Baneshwor reached this conclusion. On the occasion, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli said that genuine suggestions of the people could be addressed in various stages as suggestions regarding the preliminary draft of the constitution are still being received. Chairman Oli said, 'We are ready to give room to the genuine and meaningful suggestions. Discussion is underway in this regard. This has also been explicated by issuing a joint press release on Tuesday. Suggestions have also been received from the CA. All suggestions will be properly addressed.' Leaders participating in the meeting said that an arrangement has been made to bring people's genuine suggestions at the centre through their respective channels. The meeting analysed the situation that has developed at different places of the country after delineation of federal states. It also held serious discussion regarding further course of action in this regard. Present on the occasion were Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President, Sushil Koirala, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum- Democratic Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, among others.
