KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Bhupendra Niraula finished sixth with six points from nine rounds in the sixth Asian Amateur Chess Championship in Brunei on Saturday. Niraula, who was at the second position after eight rounds, lost against T Shyam Sundar from India in the ninth and final round. With the victory, Sundar claimed the title. Another Nepali player, Dharam Bahadur Lama finished 15th after he lost to Shahzod Vakhidov from Uzbekistan. Lama accumulated 5.5 points from nine rounds.
