JHAPA: Two girls were arrested on the charge of providing shelter and food to a gang of robbers from Jogmai and Nayabazaar of Ilam on Wednesday. The girls have been identified as Ranmaya Rai, 25, of Jogmai and Manu, alias Bina Rai of Nayabazaar of the district. They were held after a complaint was lodged by Sanjib Limbu of Jogmai, who was held on the charge of possessing a pistol a week ago, said DPO Ilam. Of the four gangsters, only Sanjib was held whereas the other three are on the run. A Chinese pistol, two rounds of bullets along with some documents were recovered from a bag they possessed. Limbu was arrested in course by a police patrol. The police has started patrolling keeping in view the increasing criminal activities in the run-up to the Dashain festival.
