KATHMANDU: The Yogi Narharinath Trust Spiritual Council on Monday urged the Prime Minister KP Sharma  Oli to take steps for portraying the picture of late King Prithvi Narayan Shah on Nepali currency notes and announce a public holiday on his birthday which befalls on Poush 27 of Nepali calendar. The Council submitted a memorandum to PM Oli demanding to pay tribute to the country's founder and celebrate the National Unity Day in a grand fashion. The references of demands have been sent to the PM, Deputy Prime Ministers and other departmental ministers, said Council Chair Shankar Paudel. A Civilian Main Ceremony Committee has been formed under the chairmanship of politician Ram Babu Prasai to celebrate the Prithvi Narayan Shah's 204th birth anniversary and the National Unity Day.
